Great so far...4
We got the Roomba for pets about a month ago to deal with the hair of two Great Pyrenees. (They're 120 pound white furballs, so you can imagine the hair and dirt issues.) So far, Rosie the Roomba is doing great; she picks up everthing from hair to leaves to dust. You do have to know a few things about a Roomba in order for it to work well, though. They aren't smart enough to avoid socks or cables lying on the floor, so you need to pick up in front of them. You may also want to rearrange furniture slightly so the roomba can access all of the floor. They handle some carpets better than others, and can get stuck on the lip of a tall rug. And depending on how much (and what type) of fur you have, you may have to clean the brushes after every run. But given these caveats, it great to not have to sweep every day myself!
