This mount rocks!
The reason I wanted to get the X-Arm is because it is motorized and I can adjust my TV with my remote. My TV is over my fireplace in a cathedral ceiling sunken great room with a lot of windows. Due to the layout of our furniture, sun glare, and how many people might be watching TV at any one time, I find myself adjusting the TV a lot or closing the blinds. I had a traditional articulating mount, but it is a pain to stand up and adjust it nearly twice a day and even a bit dangerous for my wife because at 56 she can barely reach it, let alone my kids. I also didn't like the fact that I had to grip my TV to adjust it. I also love that when you turn the TV off it goes nearly flush against the wall which looks much better when the TV is off.

I don't mind paying a bit more for the convenience of a remote controllable motorized mount. And the price is not that different from a normal articulating mount which is basically just a piece of aluminum or steel without all the electronic gadgetry and engineering of the X-Arm.
